Soulway Studios was founded in 2009 by Nick Proniewicz. After graduating from University with an honours degree in Multimedia Design & Digital Animation in 2005,  Nick chose not to specialise in a particular field as many of his class chose to do. Nick saw the benefit of fleshing out experience in many different disciplines to enable him to realise any project or vision regardless of the set media.

“If an artist can paint pictures, why limit themselves to canvas?”

Nick has been an avid follower in digital media with its growth and maturity over the past 20 years.

“I find design for screen presents me with some wonderful challenges as opposed to print. Having to bear in mind all the different ways content can be seen online – for example through computer monitors, mobile devices and through TV gives its own unique challenges to try and present information in a consistent and uniformed manner.  Thats the attraction for me.”

Having such a passion for Digital & Printed Media,  Nick took an avid interest in typography during his first year of  University. He developed a strong command of typography, which allowed him greater freedom in demonstrating the strength of type as a design element.

This leads onto Motion Graphics, Film & Animation. During his degree Nick studied animation, both 3D and 2D animation including traditional animation principles and techniques. This thorough grounding in traditional animation is fundamental in his digital work in Motion Graphics and Effects.

The last field of experitise Nick demonstrates is his ease and understanding of photography. More than an area of study, Photography is a great personal passion of Nick’s life.

“A photo without soul, is like a face without life”

And thus, the vision of Soulway Studios was born. Art, Design, Film or Photography. Only with feeling. With Soul.
